Check out this Etsy shop where there are some Aviva Snoopy jewelry items for sale (it's not my shop, I actually purchased a couple things there I was missing though - yeah!):   http://www.etsy.com/shop/ronahorn

Also the East Coast Collector's weekend is going to be Oct. 1-3, 2010 in King of Prussia, PA, the theme is Snoopy's Space Odessey celebrating the 60th anniversary of Peanuts.  This is a fundraising event for Canine Companions for Independence - CCI was Charles Schulz's favorite charity.  For more details contact:  snoopyeastcoast@aol.com

Hi Everyone!

I find it interesting that no matter when I think I have "seen it all" with these cute little charms - there is another surprise around the bend (which is one reason I like them so much!).

For example, we just figured out that the Snoopy Hero charm came in a large and small size - the height difference is slight - maybe a couple of sixteenths of an inch, but still apparent when both are together. This also goes for the one of Snoopy holding four flowers - not only are there two variations color-wise (green vs. yellow flower right under his chin), but the yellow version was in an 10/16" & 12/16" size. One of the Snoopy Flying Ace charms has two variations - brown earpiece and yellow earpiece - check yours - which do you have? Yet again - the Snoopy riding a bicycle charm has at least three variations in color (and you thought they all looked the same...) - one has a blue circle area near the pedals (orange stripes on helmet), one has a white circle area near the pedals (blue & red stripes on helmet), and a third is identical to the second one, but with a green steering wheel. Yes - it is time to get out the magnifying glass, folks :) Tell us what else you have seen or noticed and thanks for looking at these fun little charm pages - aren't they a great stress reliever? Beagle Hugs, Cindy :)

P.S. I have a couple of questions to throw out there to everyone:

1. Does anyone know for certain if there were charms made to match every Aviva pin that was made? I know there are many that come in both charm and (usually much larger) pin and sometimes rings, tie tacks, or earrings (which I lump in with charms since they are the same if you remove the earring part)- but I also see a lot of great Aviva pins that I have never seen in a charm - like Belle with her big eyes and eyelashes or Snoopy sleeping in an orange polka-dotted stuffed chair w/ ottoman.

2. Has anyone ever seen a letter "X" or "Z" in the Snoopy letter charms? I don't own all the letters - but I have at least seen them all - except for these two. Rumor had it that these two letters may not have been produced (tough luck for those poor kids named Zed and Xavier!). Can anyone verify that these do or don't exist?

These little charms are so much fun to collect. Just like Cindy said...when you think you've seen it all, there's another surprise.

The Snowmobile charm has two color variations. One red/blue/yellow and the other orange/yellow/green. There are two different sizes of the Woodstock as Santa charm. I don't have a photo of it, because I didn't think it was a big deal at the time and I sold it. (I now wish I would have kept it:) I remember the yellow on the larger one was more of a "cheese" colored yellow. There are also two different sizes of the Snoopy holding the Surfboard charm. Even though I don't believe there is a color difference, the loop on the smaller one is on his hat and the loop on the larger one is on the tip of the surfboard.

Please see my wish list for charms that I need and please e-mail me if there are charms that you need. I have several doubles and even a few triples. http://www.emeraldforestdesigns.com/Julie.htm

P.S. I thought it would be interesting to mention how I clean my charms. I remembered a long time ago my grandmother telling me that jewelry always looks nice when you clean it with toothpaste. Occasionally I will get a charm that is not in the greatest condition and I will scrub it with toothpaste and a toothbrush. About 90% of the time they come clean. (I only do this with the cloisonne ones, I'd be too afraid the paint would come off of the enamel type:)

Hi Folks! There are still Aviva charms, earrings & pins being sold (in very limited quantities) by Snoopy's Gallery & Gift Shop - here is a link to their Initial/Letter charm page: http://www.snoopygift.com/jewelry/cloisonne/c-initials.html Be sure to look at the earrings and other charms by Aviva (charms run $4.50, earrings run $6.95 per pair, make sure to call in your order so you can specify Letter Color). The people in the shop were real nice and patient! Cindy :)

Hi, My name is Lisa, and I've always been a snoopy and woodstock fan. At this stage in my life(40+) I've finally gotten around to putting together a gold charm bracelet- something I've always wanted to do. I've been looking for woodstock and/or snoopy charms for quite some time with little sucsess. I played basketball in HS and olater went on to play in college & Europe throughiut the 1980's)/ In High school, I was dubbed "woodstock" /"woody" because when I played my hair looked just like woodstock's .I have found a few woodstock (gold) charms but I've had a heck of a time finding charms of snoopy charms (w or w/o woodstock) preferrably in some typre of gold. However, at this stage, I will consider any type of charm (enamel, dold plated, partial silver) anytype ither than 100% sterling silver that is. I came cross this site and it dawned on me, there are probably tons of peanut fans out there who collect snoopy charms and who may have extra's they would not mind selling. Could you please share any advice or suggestions you might relative to purchasing the type of charms I discussed. You help will be greatly appreciated. My name is Lisa M Willis , and my e-mail address is LWillis409@msn.com. I hope to hear from you.

Hello - Thanks for your interest in these cute charms, but unfortunately this is not a store, rather a place for collectors to see the charms - most of which are over 30 years old and some of which are very rare. Sometimes they are listed on Ebay - also be sure to list your info on the "Swap" page, so other collectors can reach you if they have charms you need - good luck in your search! Cindy :)

Lorraine - P.S. the two Belle pin designs that I know of are: Belle wearing a pink pearl necklace standing and smiling, Belle wearing a pink/red dress that has "Belle" written across the front - she has her arms outstretched. Email me if you want pics of either, thanks! :) Cindy

P.S.S. There is also a pin of Belle in a blue shirt (sitting down) holding a red heart with "Belle" written on it - she is wearing a red bow on her ear. Cindy :)

Cindy, do you also have a page or two of Snoopy pins and tie tacks? If so...could you so kindly provide the site information so that I can visit? Thanks, Patsy Uyeno

Hi Patsy - thanks for the question - I do not yet have a page specifically for those items - but I am working on a new version of this website that will have pages for all the Aviva jewelry forms - pins, charms, tie tacks, rings, earrings, cufflinks, medallions, hair items and more! I don't have all the photos of everything - but I will put up what I have and hopefully the other collectors out there can help me "fill in the blanks" with their photos. It will be up and running in the next few months - so please check back now and again, thanks! Cindy :)
